Axed eThekwini mayor, Zandile Gumede, on Wednesday, said she wants to clear her name and will not be silenced by what is currently happening in her political life. She urged the media to be patient as she sought current counseling regarding the decision undertaken by the ANC to fire her following corruption charges against her.
On Facebook, she wrote: “I would like to thank everyone from individuals, volunteers, organizers, leaders, organizations, alliance, PYA, students, workers, religious organizations, family, relatives, branches of the African National Congress. Also, those who called, prayed and my secret admires, ngiyanibonga kakhulu.
“This is a long journey, the truth may delay and take long but surely it will come out and set us all free. I will not be silenced and will not be sacrificed for sinners. Let’s continue to pray and make sure that the ANC is protected from hyenas in sheepskins,” she urged. (Picture supplied)
